For instance, if we face a difficult situation, our prayers aren’t immediately granted, which makes us doubt Him. Therefore, this does not imply that He does not care about us or that He is not listening to our prayers. It merely indicates that God is aware of what is in our best interest and what will assist us in maturing in our faith in Him.

When the Israelites fled Egypt, Moses’s father-in-law, Jethro, visited him. Jethro observed that the people always came to Moses with their problems. He warned that this would tire out Moses. The Lord miraculously provided for the Israelites’ needs when they were in the wilderness, including giving them mana to eat every morning (see Exodus 16). The Lord gave Moses the ability to miraculously provide water to them when they needed it—even from solid rock.
These miracles not only met the Israelites’ physical needs but also showed them that the Lord was with them and cared for them. Similarly, we all face problems and troubles in life.
